Bulb Lasagna Workshop!

Fall is the right time to plant bulbs! Let’s dive into fall by preparing for next spring. In this class, you’ll learn how to make a bulb lasagna that will enhance your porch next spring.
You’ll get the soil and bulbs, you may purchase a planter. It is recommended that you bring your own planter that is freeze resistant (no clay pot; plastic or concrete planters are fine) Recommended size: 9 to 12’’ deep and wide.
During the the workshop, you will
- Gain valuable knowledge about different types of bulbs
- Create your very own bulb lasagna, with each participant receiving 10 bulbs
Featured bulbs of the year:
- Allium low growing mixture
- Woodland Squill mixture
- Narcissus Minnow
The bulbs we will plant in the class are not natives but they are beautiful harbingers of spring!
Mathilde Burlion, Certified Master Gardener and local mom, will be instructing the bulb class on Nov 5. Matilde is also our Grow Little Gardener workshop instructor.
Cost: $15 for one bulb lasagna which includes 10 bulbs and the soil. Planters not included - please bring your own planter (clay pots not recommended); a limited amount of planters will be available for purchase at the workshop.
This class will take place in the Barden area, park in main parking lot off Snowden Avenue.
