Experience the thrill of traveling along India's spice coast by cooking unique regional delicacies from Kerala with Gitanjali Nambiar Bakshi. In her kitchen, you will don an apron and learn how to use spices such as pepper, cardamom, cloves, ginger, cinnamon, and coconut to create simple dishes that are both healthy and delicious. Then, sit down with new friends to enjoy a three-course menu that will include vegetarian dishes, a fish curry, and end with a payasam (spiced rice pudding). A selection of wine and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.
More about Kerala cuisine: The Indian state of Kerala is a tropical land of lagoons and lakes on the southern tip of India. It produces over half the world's spices (yes, you read that correctly). The food from this region is gluten-free, flavorful but not spicy, and much lighter than north Indian food.
