Herrontown Woods - The Highlights Tour!

Princeton's and Mercer County's first dedicated nature preserve is a gem perched along the Princeton Ridge. Towering oaks and tulip trees, orchids, magnetic rocks, and the cleanest tributary of Harry's Brook combine with a rich cultural history to make this a fascinating place to visit.

Explore Herrontown Woods is a special collaboration with the Princeton Adult School to host a series of tours of Herrontown Woods this fall. Signups are still available for the second and third sessions, led by FOHW president and naturalist Steve Hiltner. Both sessions are from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. October 28 will focus on the Botanical Art Garden ("Barden"). Nov. 4 will explore the special features of Herrontown Woods. The fee of $40 per person goes to the Princeton Adult School. Sign-up required.

Rain Date: Sunday, November 5, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

There is some hiking on trails so please wear appropriate footwear to each class. Boots are recommended - it may be muddy! Meet at the main parking lot for Herrontown Woods, 600 Snowden Lane, across from the entrance to Smoyer Park. Overflow parking is available at Smoyer Park.
